Book It Cam: PWP 10

The scene opens up with Riley Owens sitting in a locker room. In the back ground we can see a large “Frontier Grappling Arts” banner hanging on the wall above the lockers. Riley is dressed in a Rolling Stones t-shirt and a pair of jeans.

Owens: PWP, it’s an honor to be invited back. I don’t get a chance to make it out here as often as I’d like. But it’s always one hell of a time whenever do. A couple of days ago I got the call, asking if I’d be available for PWP 10. Well, I checked my schedule and talked with my other promotions; I should be all set to preform that night!

Riley laughs a bit.

Owens: Well, I guess the only question who will I be facing. Because, you see, this isn’t just any old regular show. PWP 10 will be a special attraction show; I’ve been told that the entire night will consist of “first-time” match-ups.

Riley nods his head.

Owens: A lot of great matches have already been formed and booked. But, I don’t have one yet…which kind of leads to why I’m making this video in the first place. Ha you know, my main goal in wrestling is to become the best. It isn’t about money and fame for me; it’s about being the best wrestler in the world. And, to become the best, then you have to wrestle the best! You have to go out to that ring and challenge yourself!

Riley runs his fingers through his hair a bit before continuing.

Owens: I’ve discussed everything with Mr. Duncan, and he’s given me permission to do what I’m about to do.

Riley laughs.

Owens: I’m issuing an open challenge, to ANYONE. I don’t care if you are male or female. I don’t care if you are on the roster, or not. I don’t care if you work in the U.S., or if you work in the U.K. or Japan. The only thing I care about is that you show up ready to wrestle. Not show up to talk meaningless trash, not show up to brawl—show up to WRESTLE!

Riley smiles.

Owens: Because that’s what I’m showing up that night to do. So, who ever you may be…see you out there!

The scene begins but no visuals appear. Instead, it's just a black screen. Nothing happens for a good five seconds until a voice is heard, young and female.

Honor. Glory. Fame.

And self-evaluation.

I hear you speak of wanting a challenge in the ring. I can't help but listen. All this talk about beating the best to be the best... Well, isn't that what everybody wants in this business? Isn't that what everybody needs?

I've heard of you, I've even met you once. You're a good guy, hardworking and not too shabby at what you do. And apparently that's enough for Mr Duncan to allow this open challenge from you. Interesting. I guess you're a lot more than I know of you. And I'm... intrigued.

I can see you checking your phone for calls, texts and emails, your eyes hungrily scanning the social media for potential opponents. It makes things more exciting, doesn't it? Facing someone you know almost nothing about. Imagine you come out on top at PWP 10. Oh how hopeful you must be to be able to relish that moment.

Well, look no further. You have my attention, Riley Owens. I've been wanting to grace the PWP ring for a long time now since I was last here. I may not know you all too well but I do know your mentor, and my friend, Flex Johnson. He's taught me a few things too so this should be fun.

The sound of light laughter can be heard.

You want an opponent, I can be that. You want a great match, I can do that. Do you want to make your mark here then have your name recognized everywhere and be remembered always? I can give you that too. Because it's me... I'm Blyss Lockhart. I am that challenge you need.
